Disney + allows you to do this while respecting security measures. With the GroupWatch functionality, the online content platform Diffusion allows you to watch a series or a movie at the same time as your friends and that the playback controls (play, pause, etc …) apply to everyone.

How to start a GroupWatch on Disney +
For starters, anyone who wants to watch the movie or series at the same time must have a Disney + subscription and be signed in to the device they are going to use. The monthly subscription price is now $ 8.99, or you can choose to pay $ 89.90 per year.
Then you can follow these steps:
1. On the Disney + page or app, select the movie or series you want to watch with your friends and click on the group icon.
2. Once on the GroupWatch page, click the “+” icon to invite other users.
3. Copy the link and send it to those you want to join for your viewing. You can invite up to six different people.
4. When all of your friends have joined the GroupWatch page, click the “Start Feed” button.
You should know that this function can only be launched from the Disney + site or the mobile application. But once you are in the group, you can also access the visualization from your Smart TV or any other device by clicking on the group icon that you will see in the series or movie that you are going to watch.
How to use Disney + GroupWatch from abroad
If you are in a country where GroupWatch (or Disney +) is not yet available, you can take advantage of the functionality and the platform itself using a VPN, a virtual private network that allows you to log in as if you were in another country.
Additionally, VPNs connect your device to an IP address in a country where this feature is available, which means you can browse the internet and access pages as if you were physically there.
There are several options on the market, but we recommend going for quality affordable options like NordVPN and ExpressVPN (there are also free VPNs). Then you can follow the steps below:
1. Connect to a Spanish server on your VPN.
2. Open Disney + and log into your Disney + Europe account.
3. You can now access the Spanish version of Disney Plus, which includes the GroupWatch feature.
How to Chat on Disney + GroupWatch
Unfortunately, Disney + does not offer a chat service within the GroupWatch feature. The only thing users can do while watching is react to the movie or series using one of the six emoticons.
If you want to chat by message, audio or video, you will need to use external software. There are several options like Discord, Google Meet, Messenger, WhatsApp or Skype. If you are using a PC or smartphone, you should be able to use both programs at the same time.
