After months of anticipation, Among Us developer Innersloth today revealed when the popular multiplayer game will finally arrive on consoles. Previously, the studio made it clear that it would release the blockbuster title on Xbox and PlayStation platforms before the end of the year. And thankfully, that promise will continue to be fulfilled.
Innersloth announced this afternoon that Among Us will officially arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in just under two months on December 14. The game will be playable on both next-generation and current-generation platforms, which means that you will be able to experience it on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. While Among Us it will be available only in digital format on 14 December, some physical editions of the title will also be released. However, these versions will arrive a bit late and are currently ready for release in January 2022. More details on the physical editions can be found in the Innersloth website.

Perhaps the best news about this Among Us release comes to those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. Like many other titles over the course of 2021, Among Us will arrive on the popular Xbox subscription service on the first day of its launch. So if you didn’t want to have to buy the game outright and you’re already subscribed to Game Pass, this should surely be a huge benefit.
When it comes to the PlayStation version of Among Us, Innersloth has also included some additional perks that will not be found in any other version of the game. Specifically, a unique cosmetic item that looks like Ratchet and Clank will be available for use in the game for those on PS4 and PS5. While it’s not a major game-changing feature in any way, it’s a cool item to give away to those who might love the iconic PlayStation franchise.
