The streaming service Funimation continues to expand its catalog and this time targets idol lovers with the inclusion of the ‘Selection Project’ series.
His integration was confirmed this Wednesday through the official page of the platform, including that the anime will be available on an unspecified date of October 2021.
In the story we will focus on the national program ‘Selection Project’ which is held every summer and is the biggest gateway for girls who strive to be idols, and the place where the legendary Idol, Akari Amazawa, was born.
Our protagonist, Suzune Miyama, has longed to stand on the same stage, but due to an illness that has affected her since childhood, she heard Akari singing many times on her bed in the hospital room.
To follow in his footsteps, in her last summer of high school, Suzune decides to challenge the seventh annual Draft Project to make her dream come true and she won’t be the only one to take up the challenge.
All the girls who enter the challenge have strong feelings that are unsurpassed, accumulated efforts and extraordinary charm, but only nine stars are selected from the thousands of candidates.

In production you will find Daisuke Hiramaki (‘Koisuru Asteroid’) directing at the animation studio Doga Kobo, while Dandelion handles 3DCG effects.
Yuuya Takahashi excels in series composition, while Kanna Hirayama (‘Kanojo, Okarishimasu’) and Yūta Sakashita (‘Wave Surfing Yape!’) Are designing the characters and Yōhei Kisara is in charge of the musical composition.
