Xbox Insiders have already enjoyed it, and now all Xbox players can enjoy it. Microsoft has started shipping the new 4K dashboard update.
The new October update is on its way and is currently being rolled out in batches. Once again there are various improvements and optimizations. Probably the most exciting is the new 4K dashboard for Xbox Series X. So far, all dashboard elements have been upscaled from 1080p to 4K.
This will no longer be the case after the update, because after the update the dashboard will be rendered in native 4K on 4K screens. This not only applies to the home screen, games & apps and guide, but also to other components. You can expect significantly more image sharpness and better test readability.
The update brings even more innovations. Among other things, the Xbox gets a night mode, with which, for example, light-sensitive gamers can make all sorts of settings. You can even use it to regulate the brightness of the Xbox button on the controller. A blue light filter is also included in the night mode.
The settings should not have any impact on performance, screenshots and video recordings. Practical: you can even give the night mode a schedule so that you don’t have to set it manually every time. Another new feature is the Quick Settings for the Xbox Guide, so that you can activate certain features without having to leave a game.
