That the camera is one of the most important parts of mobiles is nothing new. This is particularly critical at the high end, where Apple and Google are the benchmark, although brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi or OnePlus are trying to hit them.
One of the benchmarks in photography outside of smartphones is Sony, which offers a range of mobile phones, the Xperia, which will be updated next week.
Interestingly, they never managed to have a truly relevant flagship among smartphones, surely because they failed to make the processing similar to that of their cameras.
Here is the Sony Xperia Pro-I
Tomorrow, Sony invited us to an online event where the new flagship will be showcased, which we now know will be called Sony Xperia Pro I.
And we know this because hours before its official announcement, images of it have leaked, showing its design and, above all, the first characteristics of its cameras.
It was in the Chinese social network Weibo that the images of this model were seen, which confirm that the ultra-elongated design of the previous Xperia is maintained but that a new camera module is engaged.
A unique camera system
Sony was not one of those brands that entered the Mpx race, leaving its sensors at 12 Mpx in most cases. This is not in itself a bad thing, but it is true that some innovations have been left behind.
It looks like this will be fixed in the Sony Xperia Pro I, a terminal that will have a main camera with a huge sensor of no less than 1 in size. From what we see in the pictures, this sensor will be able to change its aperture from f / 2.0 to f / 4.0, similar to what we’ve seen in the Galaxy S9, albeit in a much more advanced way.
This will change the way you work in night photography, in addition to creating a very strong natural blur.
In that same rear area there will be three additional cameras, although we still don’t know what lenses they will have.
Tomorrow, October 26, we will know all the details of this terminal, which we assume will have a very high price, like the last high-end Xperia.
