Nintendo has just rolled out version 13.1.0 for the Switch. This is the first update it’s had since the arrival of the OLED Model.
According to Nintendo Japan’s customer support Twitter account, this update is required to download in order to play the Switch Online ‘Expansion Pack’ containing Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive games. There are also the usual stability improvements.
While you’ll be able to update your system to firmware 13.1.0, at the time of writing, Nintendo’s servers are still undergoing maintenance.
13.1.0 (Started distribution on October 26, 2021)
-Added support for “Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack”.
-Fixed some problems and improved the stability and convenience of operation.
