Attention all SNK and KOF fans around the world: today during State of Play, KOF XV’s new character, Dolores, and the announcement of a KOF XV Open Beta Test aired in the whole world ! In this article, I’d like to talk a bit about Dolores, the upcoming Open Beta Test, and what makes KOF XV so great.
About the KOF XV
The King of Fighters (KOF) first appeared in 1994 and has grown into one of SNK’s main fighting game series. Excluding fallout, the series has now reached 15 main titles (currently KOF XV), and its classic 3v3 team combat system is more robust than ever. KOF is also known for its large roster, and KOF XV is also not slacking off in this department as it has 39 playable characters at launch. Vibrant and powerful special moves rock the scene as Shatter Strike, a new gameplay mechanic introduced in KOF XV makes combat more exciting than ever. Try the open beta test when it launches to experience the game and all of its fun and crazy combat systems.
About the new character, Dolores
Our new character is quite mysterious, as she is a medium who can speak to the land and control the sacred land. Additionally, she teamed up with General Heidern and another new character, Isla. Some may have noticed that the details of her clothing are similar to the embroidery found on another character, and so with that information and the fact that she is paired with such an odd team, this story is something you wouldn’t. will not want to miss! Prepare for awesome fights with the mysterious cool and collected Dolores.
About the open beta test
An open beta test for the PS4 and PS5 consoles has been announced to test the smooth online combat experience. Naturally, there is a cross play between the two consoles, so we hope you will join us in playing together online.
Begin: November 19 at 7:00 p.m. PST / 3:00 a.m. BST (4h00 CET) / 12h00 JST
Ends: November 22 at 6:59 a.m. PST / 2:59 p.m. BST (3:59 p.m. CET) / 11:59 p.m. JST
Open beta test preview
For this open beta test, players can choose from eight characters: Dolores, a new addition to KOF XV, Shun’ei, the hero of KOF XV, team members from Orochi — Yashiro, Shermie and Chris, and and finally the members of the team of Sacred Treasures of the team: Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami and Chizuru Kagura. It’s a great chance for many fans to try out the highly anticipated resurrected characters.
What a fighting game without different battle modes, and there are plenty of things to keep in this open beta test to keep you occupied. There are two online modes and two offline modes; Casual Match and Room Match can be accessed online while Training and Versus can be accessed offline. Room Match in particular features KOF XV’s latest feature, Draft Vs, which will undoubtedly take your fights to a whole new level.
