The Call of Duty have always benefited from careful musical compositions and Vanguard will be no exception: To prove their goodwill, the developers are now delivering a careful five-minute making-of.
You won’t be surprised to find out that the call of Duty If productions are in the Hollywood budget, there is no hesitation in packing the package with all its facets: Music has always held a prominent place among them, with the recruitment of a few stars like Hans Zimmer for Modern Warfare 2, to name but one.

So determined to provide an unforgettable experience, Sledgehammer Games is handing out a developer book that focuses on that particular point that you can see above. For this Vanguard episode, Bear McCreary has been appointed to direct the composition: far from being an illustrious stranger in the world, the OST of many works is ascribed to him, that they are video games like God of War in 2018 (as well as the next Ragnarok episode) or cinematographiclike 10 Cloverfield Lane or Eli. He is also behind the music for The Walking Dead series, Snowpiercer, or Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
So, with regards to Vanguard, McCreary explains having used an entire real orchestra with a gentle and subtle increase in strength. Whose goal? Start with fine textures, retransmit the WWII dramatic atmosphere and main characters, and even leave room for some musicians to improvise. Of course, the highlights benefit from the full orchestra, including a whole range of professionals and instruments, violins to support.
It is worth remembering that Sledgehammer Games intends to make Vanguard not an easy game in the saga, however well a franchise as it can be Modern Warfare and Black Ops, with a trilogy already planned. In addition, the American studio announces protagonists with more pronounced writing than usual, more colorful and be able to establish themselves as the faces of the brand call of Duty. Just that!
