Tip 1: follow the shadows
Once you get to Mt. Hikami, it’s time to activate your senses. Hold RT to focus and sharpen your senses so you see a silhouette that shows you the way to your next destination. These silhouettes are called footprints – shadows of the past left by beings that are no longer part of this world (at least most of the time). Watch out explorers! The trails may lead you on the right track, but they cannot protect you from the myriad of threats that can be found in the mountains!
Tip 2: Prepare to (not) die
Exorcism is not tourism! Before starting each chapter, make sure you get all the necessary items – from different types of films to healing items – by trading in points earned during previous missions. Preparation is a given when faced with beings ready to return from the dead.
Tip 3: lock and load
A hostile spirit stands before you. You can damage it by taking pictures with your Camera Obscura. Here are a few things to keep in mind when facing a hostile ghost: Holding down LT allows you to pin a ghost in the center circle of your camera obscura. When locked, the camera will automatically follow the ghost and keep it in the center of the screen.
Tip 4: ghosts in ruins
After shooting an enemy ghost once, you will find fragments flying around it. These are called ghost fragments and are parts of the entity that were scattered after your attack.
