Apparently, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 were behind with their schedules. Like the recently updated roadmap on the official website shows, the upgrade to version 1.31 was the last update in 2021. The next patches and planned free DLCs will not appear until 2022.
The news is not entirely unexpected, after all, CD Projekt Red has already pushed the next-gen upgrades for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 to the first quarter of next year. Nevertheless, some fans, who had expected further improvements and content later this year, are likely to be disappointed with the postponement.
But there is no shadow without a bright spot: After all, the developers justify the next-gen shift with their own stipulation, get it right
to want. Error-free updates are ultimately in the interest of the community, which already takes a critical look at developments after the problematic release.
To make sure
Developer CD Projekt Red apologized to the players after the much-criticized release of Cyberpunk 2077 and promised to fix the game’s technical problems (especially on last-gen consoles). The PC version also improved steadily over the months.
But all of this could hardly alleviate the disappointment of many fans. Apparently the developers are now careful to work very carefully. In this case, this is expressed in a postponed roadmap.
