Basic smartwatch with satellite positioning
The Redmi Watch does not aspire to become one of those smartwatches capable of replacing the mobile, but rather to those who be satisfied with a pulse of activity and prefer a more “classic” look. In this sense, the Redmi Watch 2 retains the practically square front of its predecessor with a physical button on the right side.
The screen chosen to bring the watch to life is a 1.6 inch AMOLED panel with 320 x 360 pixel resolution. Allows customization with dials included in the software (Redmi ensures that there are 100 available) and records the constant activity of the user as well as 117 different sports.
The Redmi Watch 2 includes heart rate and blood oxygen saturation sensors. Measures stress, quality of sleep, includes satellite positioning for sports practices abroad (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo) and integrates Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to pair with the smartphone.
In terms of autonomy, the brand ensures that your Redmi Watch 2 lasts up to 12 days of regular use. The watch includes a 230 mAh battery and recharges using the usual magnetic pin charger.

The new Redmi smartwatch is already in reserve and will be distributed in China from November 1. Its price is 399 yuan, about 54 dollars to change.
We don’t know if Xiaomi will sell the new watch outside of China, although it likely will. To bet, it looks like it will be the next Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite 2.
