Apple has officially confirmed that Its official Apple Music app is now available on PlayStation 5, after signs of it appeared on the official website a few days ago. This makes this next-gen console the first to integrate with Apple’s music service, allowing you to listen to songs while you play.

All the catalog available with the classic plans of the service

To make the experience comfortable, Apple Music has included commands in the system control center from the PlayStation (accessible from the music function card). Of course, in addition to all our recorded content, we can also access recommendations and lists prepared by the service itself.

In addition to songs, Apple Music on PlayStation 5 also includes 4K music videos and its digital radios. The entire catalog is present, there is no limitation for the simple fact of consulting it from a video game console.

Apple Music already has an official application under Windows 11 ... if you use the Android one

Downloading the app is completely free, but remember that an Apple Music plan costs 9.99 dollars per month in individual format or 14.99 dollars per month if shared with family. A cheaper alternative will be the impending new voice plan for just 4.99 dollars per month, which will allow access to the entire Apple Music catalog but only through the Siri assistant. The PlayStation app, for example, will not work with this plan.

As of yet, there is no news of an equivalent app on Xbox consoles, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was something we’ll see soon. We will be attentive.
