Forged in the melting pot of the flames of the pyre as the embodiment of all that persists, Azaan the Eternal has existed to watch innumerable rulers rise and fall. He keeps a watchful eye on the realm – an omnipresent guardian whose sole job it is to keep the realm free from the omnipresent influence of the abyss. Not to be confused with a compassionate and compassionate overseer, Azaan is neither a friend nor an enemy, and his judgment will consume all who dare to stand in his way.
Recent events have put the realm in serious danger – every day the abyss infects it, and so the Eternal descends from above to bring the realm one final warning: exterminate the abyss or allow it to be consumed in its cleansing flames, at all necessary expenses. Azaan the Eternal is the newest playable Paladins Champion!
Azaan is the newest frontline champion to join the Paladins Roster. Strengthened by his passive, which becomes more effective in longer conflicts, he hurls hammers and conjures flames to create and maintain space for his team. Combined with his relatively fast cooldowns and ability to both build pressure and create space in a team fight, Azaan is a relentless and formidable force to be reckoned with.
Azaan also strikes with his other abilities, like persuasion, which allows him to unfold his wings and plunge forward in a menacing attack that deals damage and stuns his enemies at the same time. Azaan’s Sanctuary ability allows him to build a multi-segment wall that will both act as a fortress for his team and deal damage when enemies bump into it. After all, is Azaan’s ultimate liberation, hurling Azaan upwards, allowing his hammer to be projected downwards, causing damage and driving away enemies. Shortly thereafter, Azaan enables a thundering aftershock to teleport to a destination. When Azaan is in the field, there is no hiding place from the pyre’s hammer.
In addition to Azaan, the new Dark Depths Event Pass will be released with this update, inviting players to test their fate and dive into the dark depths of the ocean to find out what lurks under the ocean floor. Players can earn over 30 rewards, including the Sea Queen Saati and Marauder Tyra skins, and alternate versions of each. Lots of sprays, avatars, and other cosmetics are also included!
