After the success of the TV series for The Witcher, Netflix probably already has the next hot iron in the fire, which is rooted in the video game area. The survival horror franchise Resident Evil is also rumored to have a series implementation and a leak could now have given the first supposed information about the specific content.
According to a report by Splash Report, there are two main characters in the Netflix series on Resident Evil that are in focus. These are Jade and Billie Wesker, two half-sisters who share their father Albert Wesker. You can already tell: The series characters are not known in this form from any of the previous games. Accordingly, the Netflix series will probably not follow any plot from the games, so that the creators will have a relatively free hand creatively.
The existence of the series has not yet been officially confirmed by Netflix itself; on DeadlineReport had suggested such an implementation last year – and this magazine is usually very well informed. Accordingly, the cast has not yet been decided, and we still don't know when Resident Evil will be in series production on Netflix.
Popular fan requests such as Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield or Albert Wesker do not seem to establish themselves as the main protagonists for the series. We will keep you up to date!
