Rumors whistled it from the rooftops at first, before rowing backwards in the course of today, but in the end it came to that: The Halo Infinite multiplayer is now available in advance!
On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary Stream to celebrate the Xbox anniversary, Microsoft has actually made the multiplayer of the upcoming Halo Infinite available in advance and lets you dive straight into the world of the new action blockbuster.
While the full version of the game will only appear on December 8th for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC, you can now download Season One of the multiplayer part on all platforms and get started. Only the campaign won’t be available until December.
As part of the early beta release of multiplayer, you can already enjoy all of the game’s multiplayer maps and weapons. A first look at the full Halo Infinite Battle Pass is also possible, as is cross-play and cross-progression features.
If you have problems with a blue screen when you start the multiplayer part for the first time, you may just have to reboot your Xbox One or Xbox Series X / S. The client itself initially weighs only 250 MB, but then you have to download a 25 GB update. During the transition between the two processes, this blue screen problem can apparently occasionally occur, which should be resolved by a reboot; then the update download starts as intended.
Previously, rumors had increased on the net that the Halo Infinite multiplayer could actually appear today. Shortly before the stream, there were also messages to the contrary in the course of the day, according to which this was the original plan, but the multiplayer release was now delayed until later in November. The first speculators should be right!
