On November 15, 2001, not only did Microsoft’s first Xbox see the light of day, but also the first Halo. The Shooter brand subsequently became the flagship product of the new console and the Master Chief is still considered the mascot of Microsoft’s games department to this day.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, Microsoft came up with a real surprise: Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode is now playable – for free! Officially, it is still a beta, but it already includes all the content of the multiplayer mode and even the Battle Pass of Season 1.
In the multiplayer mode you can finally test whether the mouse and keyboard or the controller are better suited for shooting:

Halo Infinite: What’s in Free-2-Play Multiplayer?
If you want to play Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode, all you have to do is download it – you don’t need to purchase the full version or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. The campaign, however, will still not appear until December 8th and must be purchased beforehand.
Where can I download Halo?
The free multiplayer mode is available in both Microsoft Store as well as Steam.
How big is the download?
You have to download about 24 gigabytes.
What’s in it?
The complete multiplayer mode including all game modes and maps. So this is not a stripped down version or a trial version. Instead, you can use all functions, except for the campaign mentioned above.
How is that financed?
Via microtransactions, especially via a battle pass system. The release of the multiplayer beta also marks the start of season 1 Heroes of Reach
please. The Battle Pass contains free content on the one hand, but also a premium version on the other. This allows you to primarily unlock various cosmetic content, including new weapon tags, armor items, effects for your armor and much more.
How long is the season?
Die Season 1 Heroes of Reach
runs until May 2, 2022. The seasons should only last three months, but the developers want to take a little more time to complete the content of the second season. For this reason, the first season is running a little longer than originally planned.
Does the Battle Pass expire?
No! Unlike in comparable games such as Call of Duty: Warzone, you can continue the Battle Pass at any time – even after the end of the season. So you are not under time pressure to complete the various challenges of the Battle Pass. A decision that was well received by the fans in advance
What about the campaign?
The Halo Infinite campaign is not part of the Free-2-Play offer and has not yet been released. Here it stays with the planned release date: On December 8th, the Master Chief is only allowed to go out again. Not completely, however, as the co-op mode will be missing when it is released:

The Forge, in which players can edit the Halo maps and create their own modes, is not yet part of the package at the beginning. This will only follow at a later date.
Now the question is: do you fancy the Halo Infinite multiplayer? Are you going to try it out or are you going to leave the world of Halo completely cold? Please write us in the comments!
