Six tips to help you become a better detective in Sherlock Holmes chapter 1

chapter, Detective, Holmes, Sherlock, tips

Hello everyone,

My name is Sergei and I’m the production manager at Frogwares – the studio behind it Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. Today is a great day for us that we have been waiting for forever. It’s the day Sherlock Holmes Chapter One comes out and is available for you.

Before you start your adventure of solving secrets, finding clues and exploring Cordona, take a look at our six tips that will be useful on your journey as a young and naughty Sherlock Holmes.

1, Use the new cladding system

Thanks to these new mechanics that we have introduced to our series, having the right clothing can potentially provide you with more valuable information to help you solve your case. You just need to remember one thing – people like to judge others by first impressions. If you look like this, they may not be so willing to share secrets with you. Looks like someone they can trust and suddenly they’ll tell you more than you expected. A bartender at a local hangout popular with sailors will be less reluctant to give you more information when you come dressed as a sailor rather than looking like a posh gentleman in a suit. So plan your clothes carefully before going to anyone or anywhere. Local shops and vendors in markets are where you can get these outfits for any occasion.

2, struggle

If you are ever ambushed, you can use more than your sanity to get out of a tricky situation. Remember, however, that you are a glass cannon, not a killing machine. So use your mind when you are involved in fights. Use the environment to your advantage. And whatever you do, try to avoid killing people. Disarming an opponent will serve the purpose. If you end up killing too many enemies around you, it will affect your dear friend Jon, who doesn’t like people losing their lives for no reason.

However, remember that if you are not a fan of gunfights and hand-to-hand combat, you can turn off combat in the game settings. You can then devote all your time to the detection. Your game’s progress or history will not suffer in any way – you just don’t need to use your muscle strength. We leave that choice to you.

3. Try to be as thorough as you can while combing the crime scene

Sometimes the most important pointers are not presented to you on one plate. You may need to take a closer look as you sniff around so you don’t miss out on anything important. You might come across vital evidence that might exonerate a suspect, like a letter found in a desk drawer, or you might find more details that don’t fit this person who claims they weren’t at the scene. Remember that in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, you can judge the wrong person – but there will be no above-screen game. You just have to learn to live with your consequences. And the people you judge must live with them too.

4th It’s okay to get stuck

Even the greatest detective of all time (yes, I’m talking about Sherlock Holmes) was stuck on one case. So it’s okay that you’re stuck too. A great way to find that “Aha!” Look at the evidence you have and see if it could lead you anywhere. Maybe you just need a little more information that is missing. Search places that might give you this missing information. You are looking for the address of a specific person – maybe the police have it? Was there a particular case that suddenly hit the headlines? Perhaps the local paper has old news from that time in its archives. Just take a look at the resources and services that are available to you. Visiting them might be just what you need to do.

5. Make sure you explore the island carefully

The island of Cordona is well worth a visit. Aside from the views, shops and people, there are also some interesting side quests that will only be revealed to you when you meet them. Keep your eyes wide open wherever you go. Listen to the chatter in the crowd, look at the posters on the walls. All of this could be a gateway to a rabbit hole for a new investigation.

In addition to side quests, you can also find specialized furniture dealers. They can use the goods they sell to furnish your family home. After all, there is nothing more satisfying than giving the Holmes villa back to its former glory. And as I mentioned earlier, you can also buy clothes from retailers. So keep your eyes and ears open, open detective! You never know what you might stumble upon!

6th Mind Palace – the place where you can organize your thoughts

This is where you put it all together. All the clues, all the evidence, and all the scenarios. Take some time and spend it here. See all the possibilities and scenarios that open up to you. And if you find that your train of thought is broken, you may be looking for a clue that is missing. This is where you shine the most.
