Warcraft III: Remastered Edition Does Not Make Its Owners or Original Players Happy

"Warcraft 3": "Warcraft" has not been well received by World of Warcraft, including those who are not interested in it.

Warcraft 3: RecastBlizzard, which was launched on Tuesday, plunged Blizzard into hot water. The game's main subreddit and Blizzard's own forums are full of negative topics and complaints from cheated players.

There are two reasons for this anger, the most important of which is the quality of the final game compared to what Blizzard showed at the remastering of Blizzcon 2018. Although the final version has more distinctive art and updated models than the original version, don't stack it up to reveal it in 2018.

Blizzard completely reinvented the movie's opening using modern CGI, but the rest of the game's cutscenes didn't get the same treatment. The movie technology in the game is expected to improve significantly, but due to some adjustments, it eventually looks slightly better than the original. However, they are a far cry from the movies at Blizzcon 2018.

The video from GyLala below puts the current version with the 2018 release to illustrate how much has changed.

Other issues of Warcraft III: Recast may be more serious. Custom campaigns created for the original ad are not compatible with Recast, and players cannot create their own campaigns. The remake also removes other long-standing features such as team support and competitive games.

These omissions are particularly frustrating because they also apply to the original Warcraft 3, which Blizzard updated in 2018 with widescreen support and introduced them to Battle.net.

Reforged and Classic have the same limitations, which makes many custom content and community-created content incompatible, thus wasting years of work. Even those who are not interested in Reforged, the benefits of their existing Warcraft 3 installation outweigh the benefits.

Disappointing things are everywhere, and Blizzard updated its custom game policy to extend its rights to ownership of mods and custom content created in Reforged and later.
