Fans of action role-playing games had actually still bet on the insider tip Thymesia this year, but this will only come in the new year. Instead, the title appears for other platforms.
OverBorder Studio has announced that the in-house action RPG Thymesia will unfortunately miss its planned release date later this year. Together with Publisher Team17, the difficult decision was made to postpone the planned publication to the new year 2022, according to a statement. A more specific time was initially owed, so that it is unclear how extensive the postponement will really be in the end.
The dark title, which is located in the Soulslike genre, just needs a little more time for the fine-tuning in order to enable the best possible gaming experience, is the reason for this step.
The title, which is also inspired by the PS4 exclusive game Bloodborne and has a corresponding look, will no longer only appear for the PC via Steam. In the same breath it became known that there should now also be implementations for the new consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
As a small compensation, the creators published a short teaser clip on Twitter shortly after the release was postponed. This shows some boss fights in the dark game world.
Thymesia will be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S in 2022.
