This bug has been around for two months, but it was only fully visible a few weeks ago. Now it seems that the guys from Mountain View already have a solution and it will be Android 12L.

What this update will fix will be that when the wallpaper is changed Activities related to games or applications that we have started do not need to be restarted.
Now we can only wait to know the Android 12L first beta which should arrive in December in the first few weeks. We’ll see if they finally fix the bug and allow normal games without anyone having to worry about anything.
