Ready to develop a strategy: Man of War 2It has been announced as the sequel to the original cult RTS Man of War.
The RTS follow-up game developed by Ukrainian studio Best Way (you may be from this series, Authority 2 game or Outfront) returns to the battlefield of World War II. Specifically, both the Western Front and the Eastern Front have playable story campaigns, in which you can play the role of the Allies or the Soviets. Check out the first trailer below.
The single player part of the game can be enjoyed alone or in cooperation with up to four other players. Online multiplayer games will include a mode where players can compete with allies, Soviets or Germans on skirmish and challenge maps, and a mode where human players team up against AI opponents.
Built on the basis of primitive mechanics, allowing you to observe the battlefield from the perspective of a single soldier, Best Way implemented Direct Vision: a tool that allows you to “focus on a unit at any time and upgrade, change or repair equipment in flight .”
You also need to manipulate the ever-changing front line determined by the location of the unit. A press release said: “Manage wars of attrition and break through undefended lines, advance controlled map areas, dig trenches and support troops in newly won territories.”
Well, it’s all about thinking ahead and using those dangerous risk/reward games in a stylish way.
“Man of War 2” will land on Steam and “other stores” in 2022.
