What is the Hawkeye series about?
The trailer, which you can see above, gives us a full take on what to expect from Marvel’s Hawkeye series:
It starts with Clint having dinner with his family around Christmas (great for the show’s premiere date) and usually makes up for the time he spent as Ronin while he was the one of the Avengers.
After that scene at home, reports of a masked character, who many suspect to be Ronin – even though Hawkeye has left that character in the past. As a result, he appears to send his family away for protection, promising he will be home by Christmas this year.
Clint catches up with the masked vigilante and discovers that it is Kate Bishop, the girl who will become his ward (and probably his successor). She is believed to be one of the best archers in the world and appears to team up with Clint and take down some of Ronin’s former enemies.
Through numerous fights (including a major battle on the Rockerfeller Center ice rink), kidnappings, car chases, and Molotov cocktails, Clint continues to promise his family that he will return soon. We can expect action in abundance, with a dash of that classic festive family joy.
Who are the cast and crew of Hawkeye?
Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton / Hawkeye, accompanied by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop.
We can already see them together on the set with the costumes thanks to some spy photos:

Along the same thread, there are also images of Lucky, the pizza dog, Clint’s mate in the comics.
Other confirmed cast members include Florence Pugh, Vera Farmiga, Fra Free, and Alaqua Cox.
Since it will be about the life of Clint Barton, we got to see appearances of Linda Cardellini and Ava Russo, the actresses who played respectively his wife Laura and his daughter Lila. We also got to see appearances by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, keeping in mind her character’s connection to Yelena.
Behind the camera, we also know that Rhys Thomas and the director duo Bert and Bertie will each direct a few episodes of the first season.
Will there be a second season of Hawkeye?
It’s possible? Jeremy Renner put a caption on his Instagram Story on the last day of filming which read, “It’s not goodbye, but see you soon.” That could imply that he will return in one form or another for another season – even if Kate Bishop takes over.
However, it could also be Renner confirming that he has appearances in other MCU properties like Clint Barton. When we know more, we’ll update this article.
