- Now you need to create the floating window that will appear on your mobile asking you to enter the unknown WhatsApp number. - Now add the second action with the “+” of “Actions”, go to “Applications” and enter “Open website / GET HTTP”.
- In the “Enter URL” field, write “https://wa.me/+34” without the quotes. This is if you always call Spanish WhatsApp numbers. In case you are creating the shortcut for another country, change the “34” for the territory code.
- Click on the three dots to the right of the URL and select the variable you created at the beginning: “number”. You accept.
- You have already created the shortcut. Click on the lower “+” and everything will be done. As a recommendation, it’s always a good idea to check that it works: click on the three upper menu items and select “Test Macro”. Make sure the menu for entering the number jumps out and WhatsApp opens ready to contact the person outside of your contacts.
- Finally, add the button with the widget to the shortcut. Go to your phone’s desktop, hold down until the widget picker appears and choose the one you created in Macrodroid.
