We all know the drama surrounding the messed up launch of Cyberpunk 2077, even if the game sold well despite all the problems. Now, a year after its release, the RPG is experiencing its second spring.
Hard to believe, but true: Cyberpunk 2077 is doing really well, at least the Steam version. Not to be taken for granted, the game had to struggle with an unbelievable number of problems at the time of release and in the months after, was thrown from the PlayStation Store and received countless patches while we are still waiting for the next-gen version, which has been postponed several times.
But the current Steam Autumn Sale, in which the game is available at half price, gives the problem child from CD Projekt RED a huge boost. Not only did the game make it into the list of top sellers because of the discount, the user reviews on Steam also make you forget the problems the game had to struggle with.
In the last few days Cyberpunk 2077 has garnered around 20,000 positive reviews, much to the delight of the developers, who commented on the whole thing on Twitter. It will be interesting to see if the game will get another boost when the upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S appear sometime in the coming year.
