Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Final Edition cannot take a break entirely. Despite rolling out a title update this week that fixes tons of bugs that hurt the not-so-definitive re-release, the news isn’t all rosy. The most recent setback is a delay for the physical versions of the trilogy, with the Xbox and PlayStation versions postponed by 10 days to December 17th and the Nintendo Switch version “early 2022” according to Rockstar Games’ Twitter account.

Published digitally at the beginning of November, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition started in a catastrophic state that, as a supposed remaster of the classic, produced a lot of fodder for online mockery Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas – instead, were exposed to all sorts of visual and performance-related errors.

Rockstar Games has since apologized for launching it, stating that it would release updates until the games “reach the level of quality they deserve”. The good news is, the process seems to have started.
