The next-gen version of Dauntless is available now.
As we already reported, the next-gen version of Dauntless is out today. In addition, the Call to Arms Update was released.
With this new version of the game, the developers are taking full advantage of the power of the new consoles and have significantly improved the graphics throughout the game. Lighting and atmospheric effects are of higher quality, the details of the environment and characters have been improved, and other elements such as water and foliage have been reworked.
Dauntless runs on the Xbox Series X with a dynamic 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. The Xbox Series S gets all of these visual enhancements at 1440p / 60fps too.
Thanks to Smart Delivery you get the next-gen version for free if you already own Dauntless for Xbox One and there is full cross-play and automatic cross-save between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S versions of the game.
For both Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S versions of the game, the Call to Arms update adds a new behemoth to hunt: the fearsome Sahvyt. This new Behemoth with a shock element is fast and deadly and comes with a completely new set of equipment and weapons that you can earn. If you’re looking to go from blade to blade, the chain-bladed weapon has also had a gameplay refresh, with penetrating attacks and new combos.
In addition to new seasonal quests and challenges that you can complete, this update contains a wealth of new cosmetics that you can earn in the reward cache and in the Krolachi Warlords’ hunting pass. Also, 36 new achievements (for 1000 Gamerscore!) Have been added that you can hunt through all of the new hunts, modes, and other features added since launching in 2019.
