like Metroid Fear? You are not alone. Since its launch, the game has achieved some notable results, and Sams Allan’s latest adventure is at the top of most people’s list of the best games of the year. Our own Alex Donaldson is very fond of 2D Metroid Legend’s first new work in more than 19 years, and pointed out that “Fear has reached the standard of the series and is very worth seeing”.
505 Games is keen to take advantage of the momentum of this version and announced that it will release a new game from MercurySteam, the studio behind Dread. The initial development budget for this new game-so far only code-named Project Iron-is approximately $30.7 million.
There is not much information about this game, but Digital Bros (505 Games’ parent company, which will co-own the IP with MercurySteam) announced that the game is a brand new IP designed to be used by multiple people. The platform is released globally. This may mean that you can expect the game to launch on consoles and PCs-this may not be exclusive to the Switch like Dread.
“We are very excited to be working with the MercurySteam team, a proven studio that has created many extraordinary IPs over the years-including the popular release “Metro Fear” recently launched in collaboration with Nintendo,” Digital Bros’ Co-CEOs Raffi and Rami Galante said in a statement. “With the creative vision and talents of MercurySteam and the extensive experience of 505 Games, gamers can look forward to high-quality, engaging and engaging video games.”
