Season 1 of Call of Duty: Vanguard is about to arrive and in addition to new weapons, maps and game modes, it will be accompanied by ‘the Pacific’ and the farewell to the last hours of Verdansk to Warzone
What is the start date of season 1 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone?
This event will start on Wednesday, December 8 after an update period that began at midnight on December 6 to Vanguard and will start at midnight on the 7th for Warzone. During this period, we will not have access to the online modes of the games.
The owners of Vanguard will be able to access the Pacific in Warzone December 8 at noon (Colombia time). The other players will have to wait 24 more hours.
The last hours of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone
The current map of Call of Duty: Warzone, our “dear” Verdansk, will disappear on Tuesday, December 7 at midnight.
While it is time to say goodbye, we can participate in the limited-time mode ‘The Last Hours of Verdansk’, which will grant us special rewards for participating and for winning. The bunkers will be the only place where we will be safe from what lies ahead.
When the game returns from its maintenance period, the main map of Warzone will be replaced by Caldera, an island in the Pacific.
Obviously, the new map of Warzone it will have its own Gulag, new contracts, public events, vehicles and two game modes: Vanguard Resurgence y Vanguard Royale.
Season 1 New Operators
All new operators belong to the TRIDENT special operations task force. The first of them is your leader Francis “Kai” Wins, which we unlock at level 0 of the new season pass. Throughout the pass we can unlock two appearances (skins) for him.
Later in the season the other members of TRIDENT will arrive. We will see Lewis Howard in the store before the end of the year.
Finally we will have Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes, which will be available in early 2022 in the store.
Players who collect all three TRIDENTE members and bring them to level 20 will receive special costumes with gold decorations for them. If you raise all 12 operators from all task forces to the highest level, they will receive diamond appearances.
New weapons of season 1
- Bronze carbine: Level 15 of the Battle Pass.
- Rifle antitanque Gorenko: Level 31 of the Battle Pass.
- Sawtooth (melee): Level 37 of the Battle Pass.
- Katana: available in the first days of the season.
- SMG Welgun: later in the season.
New maps for Call of Duty: Vanguard
- Paraiso– Medium size map with three lines at a weapons test site on an island in the Pacific Ocean. It has underground tunnels and toxic waste deposits. It will be available from the launch of the season.
- Radar: a reimagined version of Domo (from Modern Warfare 3). Perfect for fast battles.
New game mode for Call of Duty: Vanguard
- Control– This game mode will be familiar to veterans. Two teams alternate between attacking and defending two capture zones with limited lives (‘respawns’). The attackers must capture both zones or eliminate the defenders before time runs out to win. It will arrive during the first days of the season.
What’s New for Zombie Mode in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Vanguard
- New Objective: Purge (Der Anganf) – We must stop the ‘Augmenters’, worm enemies that can make waves of enemies appear and can only be stopped by capturing control runes. Completing it will grant us a Sacrificial Heart to spend on the Altar.
- 14 new Covenants improvements – including Brimstone, Deadshot, Dead Wire, Scrapper and Swift Vengeance (Spanish names to be confirmed).
- New weapons – the rocket launchers and the mystery box will be available in zombie mode from the beginning of the season. The weapons Copper Carbine, Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle and Sawtooth can be used after unlocking them in the Battle Pass.
Treyarch studio is preparing new zombie content for early 2022: the Ritual Tome that will increase the power of artifacts, Von List’s office, supportive killstreaks, and more.
