Genshin Impact’s character additions help create additional excitement for each new update, as they are one of the main draws of the game. Although version 2.3 arrived a couple of days ago, several leaks have already revealed information about version 2.4. Additionally, Genshin Impact’s official social media accounts have already revealed Shenhe and Yun Jin, two new polearm characters.
Leaks and rumors are quite common for Genhin Impact and generally produce tones of hype for characters that are often not even in development. One of those characters is surely Kamisato Ayato, who has been mentioned by a couple of characters in the game. The only thing confirmed about Ayato is that he is Ayaka’s brother and leader of the famous Kamisato clan.
A recent post on Reddit apparently reveals important information about this mysterious character, such as his element and weapon type. According to the leak, Ayato will be another Hydro character, which could mean that he could have great synergy with his sister Ayaka, who is one of the most unique Genshin Impact characters. Like his sister, Ayato is expected to be a sword user, which would make him the second Hydro Sword character after Xingqiu. When it comes to its release date, another Genshin Impact leaker has revealed that it could arrive with update 2.7 which, according to miHoYo’s usual update schedule, will arrive around April 10, 2022.
Another character mentioned in the leak is the long-awaited Inazuma character, Yae Miko. Previous rumors about Yae have claimed that she could be one of the strongest DPS characters in Genshin Impact, paired with Ganyu, Ayaka, and Hu Tao. When it comes to its type of weapon, there is currently no official information or credible leaks. However, the character’s design largely indicates that her element will be Electro, which is no surprise, as she is strongly tied to the Inazuma region.
Yae Miko should be a part of Genshin Impact version 2.5, which should arrive around February 16, 2022. It is expected to arrive alongside another double banner replay, which is becoming a pattern as rumors have suggested that Ganyu and Xiao will get their own double banner replay in update 2.4. This means that after Xiao and Ganyu, players might have the option to choose two other limited characters like Zhongli or Kazuha in update 2.4.
Genshin Impact is now available for mobile devices, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
