Update 3.1 is here, here are the patch notes

Notes, patch, update

DICE had already announced for the big content patch number 3 that another one would follow. This was released today on December 9th with 2.28 GB on Origin in a slightly smaller form than its predecessor. But he has some bug fixes in his luggage, which should be balm for the players’ souls.

The most important: Although the new patch will be installed on December 9th at 9 a.m., there should be no server downtimes. Those of you who are already climbing into the virtual tank or the helicopter will not be ejected again at 9 a.m.

Since this is Patch 3.1 and not Update 4, the patch contains only minor changes and bug fixes and no major changes or new content. We put the most exciting information in an overview for you right here. All other patch notes can be found on page 2.

These are the most exciting patch notes from Update 3.1

In addition to further adjustments to your aiming and shooting behavior, the new patch mainly revolves around bug fixes and balancing updates. For example, the vehicles were nerfed so that the infantry troops would not eat them for breakfast. We also worked on the audio design to make it easier for you to estimate distances.

These are the most important patch notes at a glance:

  • Improvements to the consistency of projectile hit registration.
  • Balancing changes to projectile dispersion and recoil
  • Further balancing changes to the 30, 40 and 57 mm cannons of ground vehicles to reduce their effectiveness against infantry
  • A fix for a rare bug that could make the end of the game invisible to opponents
  • Fixes for various bugs related to grenades and launchers
  • Multiple audio enhancements to improve the overall sound experience, with a focus on clarity, distance, and directional perception

Update 3.1 was the last patch for 2021

As previously announced by the developers, Patch 3.1 was now the last Battlefield 2042 patch for the year and the Christmas break is on. For you this means: You shouldn’t expect further changes and content until the beginning of 2022. When exactly we can expect Patch 3.2 or even Patch 4 is still unclear. We also don’t know when Season 1 in Battlefield 2042 will start.

A lot of new content is apparently already planned for 2022:

New map, 64-player mode and more
