343 Industries today confirmed that Halo infinite‘The next update on December 14th will add a Slayer playlist to the game’s popular multiplayer mode, as well as playlists for Fiesta, Free-For-All and Tactical Slayer aka SWAT. Plus some welcome improvements to the Challenge the game system.
Today on Reddit, 343 Community Director Brian Jarrard shared the good news about a post on the gloriole subreddit. According to Jarrard, four new playl ists will be added Halo infinite
This follows news earlier this month that more Modes actually came about new Playlists, although Slayer was planned for next year at the time. I think we can consider this an early Christmas present.
According to Jarrard, the community’s request for a Slayer playlist resulted in the team changing its initials Plans. For now, Halo infinite does not have its own Slayer playlist and the current playlists it offers are limited as many longtime Halo players have been disappointed with the limited selection. So that’s a welcome one Update for many.
Next week’s update doesn’t just add new modes.
343 is optimizing Halo Infinites also challenge system. Jarrard explains that the developers remove some of the more annoying mode-specific ones Challenges from the game, which reduces the requirements for some others, and adding new challenges to match these new modes.
This December update is also coming a new challenge category that, according to Jarrard, “based on accumulated player score “and is the team’s small, first step towards add performance-based XP rewards. Right now win, lose, play bad or leading your team doesn’t bring you more or less XP for yours Battle pass. This has resulted in players not playing objectively and only gaining XP by idling in games.
It also frustrated Zack Zwiezen (me) when I have a great match and my team wins and I still don’t get any bonus XP reward.
While I was busy playing Halo Infinites great campaign and find some silly easter eggs, I’m looking forward to jumping back into multiplayer after this update to try out the new playlists and maybe spend a night without it to fucking play 4v4 CTF.
