Our team’s action-exploration game Aeterna Noctis launches for PlayStation 5 on December 15th. The game takes full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 5 and the DualSense wireless controller. Aeterna Noctis looks like an end-to-end action and exploration game offering a vast world to discover consisting of 16 different and interconnected areas, featuring diverse weaponry and a large skill tree that will thrill gamers. Weapons of Eternal Night
The weapon roster of the Dark King, the main character of this adventure, includes several ranged and melee tools created to defeat hordes of legendary enemies and bosses.
Sword
The Dark King’s trusty melee weapon. It is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. A devastating blade with high varieties of speed and movement. Perfect for almost any combat situation.
False
Called “The Bloodthirsty Weapon” according to the tradition of the game, it is a weapon that speaks for itself. This massive two-handed scythe decimates enemies on impact in a bloody bloom. The Splattered Life Essence helps the Dark King to heal.
Chopped
The heaviest weapon on the list, and can be found within hours of starting the adventure. Players can charge a powerful swing to crush enemies. Perfect for slicing through large groups of enemies.
Spear
Death from above. The Dark King can pierce his enemies with the spear when he jumps or falls from a height.
Katana
One of the most versatile melee weapons in Aeterna Noctis. The Dark King’s katana allows the player to charge attacks, destroy enemy projectiles, perform special combos, and teleport behind enemies
In addition to these deadly tools, the Dark King also uses various projectiles and ranged weapons.
Shuriken
This razor-sharp casting star pursues enemies and causes them to bleed – another great opportunity for the Dark King to regain health.
Arrows
The Dark King attacks with a range of projectiles, which can activate certain switches, help solve puzzles, and avoid dangers. Players will learn to use a range of arrows, including light, darkness, and blood. The light on the DualSense controller even indicates which arrow is currently equipped, like yellow to indicate light. Expect to feel the impact of these magical arrows through the haptics of the DualSense controller.
The innovative teleportation arrows allow the king to transport himself wherever the projectile strikes, a great example of abilities that have utility for puzzle solving and combat. Aeterna Noctis also offers classic exploration abilities like dash and double jump.
