Sony has just announced the marketing of official fronts for PS5. Thanks to them, owners of a new generation PlayStation can change the color of their device. As you would expect, these facades are offered in the same colors as the recently released DualSense controllers. In other words in “Midnight black” and “Cosmic red.” But that’s not all.
Sony has also planned panels in three other colors. These are “Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. ” According to the electronics giant, the black and red PS5 facades will be marketed in France from January 2022. The other three colors are, however, for the “first semester 2022. “
United colors of PS5
Logically, these facades are offered on both the standard PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition. And installation is very easy, according to the manufacturer. It’s enough for Sony “Remove the original white facades from the PS5 and replace them with your new facades. “
The French price has not yet been announced. For your information, the facade duo retails for $ 54.99 in the United States. In France, a sales price of around 60 dollars can therefore be expected.
The official PS5 facades and the controllers that go with them
In parallel with this announcement, Sony also announced the upcoming release of new DualSense controllers. These PS5 controllers will be the same color as the recently announced facades: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. As already mentioned, the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red controllers are already available.
Sony has provided some information on the exact release dates of some of these products. DualSense wireless controllers in Galactic Purple will be available on January 14th on direct.playstation.com. However, resellers will have them starting February 11th. As for the facades, the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red models will be available on direct.playstation.com from January 21st. Other resellers will have them on February 18th.
