To be too good to be true? While some are still struggling to recover from the first in-game demo of Senua’s saga Hellblade 2, some are questioning its veracity.
Despite the abundance of announcements that underscored the (very) long night of the Game Awards, many players will be shaped by the first gameplay sequence of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Two years after enjoying the 2019 edition for the duly announced Ninja Theory presented a first in-game sequence with real parts of the Unreal Engine 5.
Senua, raise your right hand and say “Ég sver”
It happened without transition that the poor warrior Picte went from concentration to action, giving up her experimental troubadours in order to attack a giant and cause the most violent awakening. However, with some voices rising to question the veracity of this impressive excerpt, David Garcia, audio director of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, has come in person to provide some answers:

– All 3D sounds use Project Acoustics and Audio Spatialization: two incredible technologies
– everything runs through the engine in real time, there is no cheating, this demo is very real. And so not everything is perfect
– I do not have the words to express the honor I am given to work with the Healing Group, suggesting my ideas for mixes and remodeling, and letting their soul flow into the world of Senua. They are very, very talented musicians
When music lovers linger with the experimental folk group attending, others will be soothed by the graphic dimension of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
