Fans of survival horror games can look forward to a new genre representative in a few weeks’ time: Hidden Deep will start early access after the turn of the year.
Daedalic Entertainment and developer Cogwheel Software have been working on a new sci-fi survival horror title, Hidden Deep, for some time. The thriller has now received an early access date – and that’s not far away.
On January 24th, 2022 you can explore the sci-fi title in the early access version on the PC. The game takes you to the bottom of the sea. There you have to go to an abandoned research station and explore claustrophobic tunnel systems
The bottom of the ocean is inhabited by alien creatures. You have to take on these in the 2D game world by controlling team members. The aim is to find out what happened on site and solve the mystery of the dark horror story. The game is inspired by classic films of the genre from the 80s and 90s.
To get ahead in the game, you have a whole range of tools that you can use, including grappling hooks and scanners, but also drones, weapons and heavy machinery. The game promises more than 20 hours of game time in story mode, plus a challenge mode and local and remote play co-op. Online co-op will be introduced during Early Access.
If you are interested, you can already take part in the closed beta on Steam try out. From now on you can explore the extensive levels in dedicated co-op missions together with your friends for the first time. The beta will run until January 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
