The pressure from the players was too great for GSC Game World. The Polish studio announced the integration of NFT into STALKER 2 earlier this week. In the end it won’t be. The development team posted a statement on Twitter claiming to cancel anything related to NFTs in the game.
Dear stalkers, we hear you.
Based on the feedback we received, we decided to discontinue everything related to NFTs in STALKER 2.
The interest of our fans and players is the top priority for the team. We create the game for you to enjoy – no matter how much it costs. If you’re interested, we’ll take care of it too.
With love, the GSC Game World Team.

Additionally, in response to a comment on Twitter, the studio announced the arrival of a multiplayer mode. Good news, this will be provided in a free update after the game launches.
Multiplayer will be a free update for all game owners. We’ll talk about this in the future.
