In this case, we have been able to know a new error that has been recently detected in the service. Specifically, this has appeared in the version of Paper Mario expansion pack. The so-called critical error causes the programming to fail, so that the save data appears to be removed if the game is not closed correctly, for example due to a critical error.
If the game is saved correctly in the memory of the console this error does not appear, but there are users who have reported errors like the one mentioned when the game does not close properly. Nintendo has not commented at the moment, but it is likely to release an update in the future.
