Christmas is less than a few days now. The offices of many publishers, studios, and other communication agencies are preparing to close their doors for the holidays. And as tradition dictates, many buildings have designed a special illustration for the occasion. To get in the mood for the festivities, we invite you to discover a cascade of greeting cards.

Lots of video game players just shared their 2021 greeting cards. Sony had the good idea to have many of them on its PlayStation blog. And we invite you to discover them in our gallery below.

Greeting cards galore

No wonder that Sony is very well represented here. In addition to its general menu, the Japanese manufacturer offers the achievements of many of its studios. Naughty Dog, Bend Studio, Team Asobi and Sucker Punch are represented. Some publishers, such as Bandai Namco Entertainment, have created custom cards for their various games.

Others, like SEGA, did things differently. Sonic’s house actually created an overview map. As well as a card for his Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. And another one for his Demon Slayer game. In principle, there is no unanimously agreed strategy here. Everyone did things their own way.

Works of different motivation

It’s interesting to look at all of these greeting cards one by one. This allows us to see the different strategies behind this work. Some societies are more inspired than others. This greeting card is seen as an additional opportunity for publishers to promote one or more of their games.

Others take the opportunity to have a truly festive original work of art made. And the latter does not always relate to a title currently being marketed. Another category clearly does not want to disturb and offers a look for less basic. The investment made by the various publishers and studios is nowhere near worthwhile.

As a result, since these cards were shared by Sony, Xbox and Nintendo’s creations are not subscribers. But it’s a surefire thing that the other two manufacturers will have one up by December 25th. Especially since Nintendo has already shared festive pictures on Twitter.
