If you still have a soft spot for Assassin’s Creed: Origins, you may now have reason to be happy. Ubisoft could subsequently enable 60 fps with an update.
Released in 2017, Assassin’s Creed: Origins marked a new beginning for the well-known action franchise from Ubisoft. Since then, two more offshoots have followed, but Ubisoft has apparently not forgotten this title for a long time.
On the occasion of Assassin’s Creed Day, the studio contacted via Twitter to speak. December 21st is used by the creators to celebrate the franchise: the day on which Desmond Miles sacrifices his life in Assassin’s Creed III. This year, on the anniversary day, it was mostly quiet, but you got one interesting tweet after all.
While Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla promised new content and – unsurprisingly – other new developments within the franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Origins was more specific. Here one deals specifically with the integration of the 60 fps support – a feature that fans of the series have been wanting for a long time.
If this were actually delivered via patch, Origins would draw level with the Odyssey published in 2018 and the current Valhalla; these two titles below have already received 60 fps support. Should this now also follow for the title from 2017, then only players on Xbox Series X / S and PS5 will probably benefit from it.
We’ll keep you up to date!
