Google has introduced older versions of Android every year since it bought the system over ten years ago. We have also seen minor versions, like the already announced Android 12L, but only one large version is presented per year.
In 2021 we attended the presentation of Android 12, which we were able to analyze in video a few weeks ago, and the year is not over when functions that we could see in Android 13 began to to flee.
First features of Android 13
The first thing to clarify is that while the logical thing is that these functions appear in Android 13, the long development path that still remains for the system could involve a lot. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen previous features, and even some in beta versions, that don’t make it to the final version.
Says that, the first function refers to languages supported by Android. In the thirteenth version, we might be faced with a significant change, which would allow have one language on the phone and another in some apps
This feature would be called Panlingue and it would be controlled from a new setting in the Text & Languages section of Android.
The other feature we’ve heard about recently is compatibility with Bluetooth LE Audio, something that is not yet available on Android (not to be confused with Bluetooth LE).
This function would provide better sound quality compatible with bluetooth headsets compatible with the new LC3 LE audio codec.
As we said, these features are expected to arrive in Android 13, but it’s still too early to confirm. In a few months the trial versions of the system will start and we will have more information.
