When is Toy Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Toy Day takes place on December 24th each year. You will know the event is happening as Isabelle is saying something during the morning announcements and your villagers will be wearing Christmas hats.
How to take part in Toy Day
Jingle will appear outside your Resident Services building on December 24th seeking help. If you talk to him, he’ll give you the recipe for Festive wrapping paper, and will ask you to make three of him. To make a festive wrapping paper, you will need an ornament of any color, which you can find by shaking pine trees.
Once you’ve given him the three festive wrapping papers, he’ll give you one Magic sack Bring gifts. He will give you too Toy Day stockingsthat you can hang on the wall in your home. Doing this will allow you to interact with the stockings and receive them Jingles photo on December 25th. What a nice present from the black-nosed reindeer!
Handing over gifts to villagers on Toy Day
With the magic sack in hand, equipped like a tool, you can talk to villagers to bring them gifts. You don’t have to choose a gift based on their personality or the like, you just have to talk to them to give a gift. Some villagers may even return the favor and give you one of the toy items that have been available at Nook’s Cranny all month.
As soon as you deliver gifts to half of your residents, you will receive a DIY recipe for a Pile of gifts. Bringing gifts to each villager will reward you with that Toy day sledge Furniture. You can interact with the magic sack in your inventory to see how many gifts you can give.
You don’t have to buy a Nook’s Cranny toy or wear a Santa Claus outfit to do this.
Once you’ve delivered all of the gifts for Jingle, you can also wrap items and give them to your villagers. In return, they will give you gifts. The gifts will be selected at random from among the toys Nook’s Cranny sold during the month of December.
Jingle’s Photo, the Toy Day Stockings, the Toy Day Sled and the DIY recipes for the festive wrapping paper and the gift stack are all event-exclusive items that you can get from Toy Day.
