In an investor statement (thanks to Game Informer), Remedy Games expressed its intention to cooperate with Chinese publishing giant Tencent to create a free cooperative shooting game with global appeal.Dubbing pioneer, The game will be localized by Tencent for the “selected Asian market” Remedy’s IP, and Remedy will be released and distributed to other markets. This will be Remedy’s first game-as-a-service game.
Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, explained the meaning of the partnership:

Building on Remedy’s strengths, we are building some new and exciting things for the cooperative multiplayer gaming space. Expand us The ability to assume publishing responsibilities is the next step in our company’s development. The remaining small amount of information we know is that the game is suitable for consoles and PCs, and there may be a mobile version developed by Tencent. The game will also use Unreal Engine.
