A little while ago, the mysterious project of Eric Barone, creator of the wonderful Stardew Valley, was unveiled. The new challenge for the studio “ConcernedApe” with its future Haunted Chocolatier production will be to live up to the success of the digital farm game, a difficult task as the title has set the bar very high.
At first glance, one can see that the visual similarities between the two games are clear but with the experience of 10 years between the two developments, the innovations seem to be palpable every moment. However, in an interview with the VGKami portal, Barone spoke about a characteristic that the two games will have in common.
The coincidences between Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier
Our character’s relationships with other villagers are an essential part of Stardew Valley, and it’s an aspect that will remain the same in Haunted Chocolatier. From what can be seen in the trailers, the new ConcernedApe game will have several NPCs to interact with and the developer has indicated that it is very possible that the dialogue system will become much more in-depth.
The bad news is that Haunted Chocolatier is still in development and while we will have updates as production progresses, we are unlikely to be in contact with the game for some time.
