According to reports, Konami is currently working on reviving the Silent Hill franchise and could produce two new game titles, provided you have found what you are looking for with suitable developer studios. But that's not all: A new film project is also currently in the works.
This emerges from an interview of the French website Allocine with director Christophe Gans. In the past, he not only wrote "Brotherhood of the Wolf", but also the original Silent Hill film from 2006. In the interview, he now commented on his current projects and was surprisingly clear:
"I am working on two horror film projects with Victor Hadida. One is the adaptation of the video game Project Zero and will be based in Japan. I would like to uproot the game from its setting in a Japanese haunted house. We are also working on a new Silent Hill (…) I think it's time to make a new strip, "said Gans.
While Project Zero, which is also mentioned in the West, is known as the Fatal Frame, the new edition of Silent Hill is intended to take up the atmosphere of a small American town again. It is not yet known exactly what the strip is about from a technical point of view and when it will start. We'll keep you up to date!
