The new year has started – and for a few days you can currently get your first well-known game food for free. The Tomb Raider trilogy is currently for free.
The long-running Tomb Raider series has been known to have received a reboot from Crystal Dynamics and has since spawned three games. Those who have skipped the successful action adventures with protagonist Lara Croft can now secure them for free.
In the Epic Games Store, all three titles have recently been available as full PC versions for free. The offer is still valid for a few days until January 6, 2022. By then you should get an account in the Epic Games Store at the latest and claim the offer for yourself. If you do that, you can keep all three parts permanently in your game library as a full version at no additional cost.
The reboot Tomb Raider was originally released in 2013 and is available for free in the Game of the Year Edition. This includes all published DLC content, ie “Tomb of the Lost Adventurer” as well as various bonus outfits. In 2015 or 2016 – depending on the platform – Rise of the Tomb Raider followed, before the current trilogy with Shadow of the Tomb Raider received its last part to date in 2018.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the 20 Year Celebration Edition including the bonus story “Blood Ties” and the zombie spin-off “Lara’s Nightmare”. For Shadow of the Tomb RAider, all downloadable skins, outfits, skills and seven challenge graves are available to you.
On January 6th, the trilogy will be replaced by the next free title in the Epic Games Store: the top-down action game Gods Will Fall by Clever Beans and Deep Silver.
