Facebook continues to refine the details of its main messaging app. In a future version of WhatsApp, the company plan to use profile pictures in notifications that we receive on our iPhone. Notifications that will now be more easily identifiable.
More personal and distinct notifications
The use of the profile picture in the notifications of the messages that we receive it has been common for years in other messaging apps like iMessage or Telegram, to name a few examples. Now on Facebook it seems they have realized the lack, because as they collect in WABetaInfo the latest beta of the app starts to use them.
With this simple change WhatsApp will display a photo of the contact or the image of the group from which we are receiving the message directly in the notification. This will happen in version 2.22.1.1 of the app, which is currently under development.

As on other occasions, this feature does not appear to all users registered in the beta version of WhatsApp. Indeed, according to the publication, the appearance of the profile picture in the notifications always poses another problem among those who have received the news.
Hopefully Facebook will finish fixing the bugs in this implementation and release the news to the public in the coming weeks. For the moment we absolutely do not know the date of arrival of this novelty.
