The old generation is still valid
If there is an AAA game in development for years, it’s Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Originally announced in 2018, the game suffered from delays and cancellation rumors, before finally finding its final release date. So it will be February 4 when this sequel set in an open world arrives Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. We’ve seen it work on next-gen consoles before, but not yet on the One. It looks like that will change, because Techland announces the release of this version in January.
The lesson Cyberpunk 2077 learned has clearly paid off. Its developer, CD Projekt, had focused all its communication around the PC version, which ran on a NASA computer. We all know the result, with older generation consoles struggling to perform as best they could. Techland won’t make the same mistake as its Polish counterpart, respecting its players and, above all, avoiding a similar scandal.
The first Dying Light made a big impression on gamers when it was released in 2015. Hopefully this sequel will allow Techland to emulate the same success.
