Timaeus, the alchemist from Mondstadt, is testing a legendary alchemical potion. The new event of Genshin Impact, Potions Study, asks us to help you by participating in various combat challenges to earn Protogems and other rewards. This is just the first of the many events that will arrive throughout version 2.4 of the game.

What is the date of the ‘Potions Study’ event in Genshin Impact?

Will start on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 am (server time) and will be available until 3:59 am on Monday, January 17.

How to participate in the event

First of all, you have to meet these couple of requirements:

Reach Adventure Rank 30 or higher.
Complete Archon’s quest “Farewell, Master Enhanced.”

This will enable the world mission ‘Pills and potions’ in the missions menu. After completing it, we will see new icons on the map in the form of potions. These indicate the location of a new round of experiments.

Genshin Impact: Guide to Participate in Potions Study Event Rounds of Experiments and Challenges to Earn Rewards

Rounds of Experiments will be unlocked every other day. On the fifth day of the event we will have all the challenges of ‘Potions Study’ available in Genshin Impact . Please note that we can only participate in single player mode.

What are the event challenges?

Each round of experiments is divided into four combat challenges that ask us to kill all enemies in a limited time. We can do them in any order, but each time we finish one, the difficulty of the others will increase: Normal, Difficult, Extreme and Intrepid. Each challenge also asks us to choose a multiplier that will have an effect on the final score.

The interesting thing about this event is that each round of challenges provides us with four characters that we can choose to participate in the challenges. Be careful because We cannot repeat characters in the challenges of the same round of experiments. We can also participate with our own characters. Finally, we have the option to equip up to three potions Sizzling ice that will give us different bonuses. This is useful because we won’t be able to use food or items during challenges.
