  • The shooting for “The Witcher” season 3 should start as early as March 2022.
  • Due to slight delays, the Netflix start could be pushed back in 2032.

We have only just been able to look forward to the start of season 2, now the production of “The Witcher” season 3 begins.

The well-informed fan magazine “The Redanian Intelligence“also reports that the start of shooting has already been postponed from February to March, so the date is not set in stone.

In addition, the new episodes will be shot in a new studio, Longcross Studios, among others. The construction of new sets could also take time. Most likely the Filming will take place from March to August 2022.

“Redanian Intelligence” expects a release in spring 2023 in order to have 6-7 months for post-production after filming is finished. However, the “The Witcher” seasons have always appeared in December in the past, so we assume that Netflix will continue to aim for a start in December 2022.

Before “The Witcher” Season 3 starts, we can look forward to the prequel “The Witcher: Blood Origin” and another “The Witcher” anime film. In it we delve further into the prehistory of the world of witchers.
