While many games have been postponed to 2021, let’s not be too quick to forget about the ones we won’t be seeing anytime soon. BioWare conjures up the fate of Dragon Age and Mass Effect so that no one forgets them.
Since the calendar renewal is always the opportunity to visit one or the other loved one whom we have not seen for (too) a long time, BioWare CEO Gary McKay picked up his digital pen to conjure up ongoing projects at the side of Canada, and place one for two highly anticipated titles: the next few episodes of Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
Poles & kites
In one long blog post, who like Jacky and Ben-J recently celebrated his first birthday as the new CEO of the studio, takes stock of an eventful year:
It was another difficult year, our work and family life continue to be affected by the uncertainty of the global pandemic. We had to think over and over again to adapt to the changing circumstances. But despite all that, it was an absolute pleasure to run a studio with so many incredibly talented people, a team that always pushes its limits.
A group of talented veterans have joined us to work on the future of Dragon Age. We focus on a solo experience based on decisions that matter.
The prospect of a 100 percent solo episode was mentioned last winter, but it just keeps getting better when you repeat it.
The devil is in the details
But because life is not all made up of dragons (except for Camille), McKay has therefore also placed one for the next Mass Effect, not without sending the most curious to their dear studies:
If you’re curious about Mass Effect, I recommend you take a look at the poster we released for N7 Day. If you look closely, there are a handful of little things hidden there; In my opinion there are at least five surprises in optics, all of which point to an incredible future for Mass Effect.
Indeed, the poster revealed in November did not fail to talk about it, some thought they saw Liara here, Urdnot Wrex here, or the silhouette of a geth in the crater. According to the general manager, there may be as yet unpublished information …
If the next Mass Effect doesn’t have the slightest release window, Dragon Age 4 may be expected in 2023. It is far.
